Born in Russia in 1890 Pinchus Kremegne studied art at the illustrious Fine Arts School of Vilnius. Chased by the pogroms, he escaped to France in 1912, and became one of the main Jewish Russian painters who created in Montparnasse the famous “Ecole de Paris”.
